The holiday season is around the corner! Albany County and the Capital Region's music halls and performing arts venues will soon echo with the sounds of jingle bells, classic carols and holiday tunes. Get the scoop on upcoming holiday concerts and performances around the Capital Region. 

Palace Theater

Kick off the holiday season on a high note at the Palace Theatre! The landmark venue in downtown Albany recently celebrated its 90th anniversary, so this holiday season is a wonderful time to enjoy a show at the historic performing arts center. On November 24, travel to the North Pole for a look at the magical lives of Santa’s Scout Elves with The Elf on the Shelf: The Musical. Is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation one of your family's favorite holiday movies? Get tickets for An Evening with Chevy Chase on December 15! Enjoy the holiday classic on the big screen followed by Chevy Chase live on stage sharing stories from his legendary career and an audience Q&A. 

Throughout December, the Palace Theater is also screening a handful of holiday classics and blockbuster films. For $5 each, watch Love, Actually on December 13, The Muppet Christmas Carol on December 20 and It's A Wonderful Life on December 23.

On December 1, enjoy The Edward Twins Present: A Holiday Evening for a Holiday Variety show straight out of the 1970s and 1980s recreated by The Edward Twins, Las Vegas' number one impersonators of all time. Purchase tickets for a Celtic Christmas: A Concert Presented By Capital Pride Singers and Triskele on December 5 for cheerful holiday tunes. Bring your little ones to Santa's Sing-A-Long on December 6 and 7 to belt out Christmas songs to help Santa's reindeer get back in the holiday spirit.

Enjoy a holiday performance at The Egg Performing Arts Center, a go-to venue for performances in Albany. On December 18, catch The McKrells Holiday Concert at the Egg for holiday music as well as original and traditional acoustic music. The band is known for fusing Celtic sounds with American folk and bluegrass.

Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, a world-renowned performance space known for its near perfect acoustics, has several holiday concerts and performances on the calendar. Jonathan Antoine's ChristmasLand Live! will be an exciting night of holiday classics from the chart-topping British tenor on December 3. Experience Cherish the Ladies 'Celtic Christmas' for a night of classic carols with a Celtic twist and riveting step dancing on December 7. Albany Pro Musica presents 'The Many Moods of Christmas', a Capital Region holiday tradition, on December 19.
