  • Overview

The mission of the Irish American Heritage Museum is to preserve and tell the story of the contributions of the Irish people and their culture in America, inspiring individuals to examine the importance of their own heritage as part of the American cultural mosaic. We do this through our many activities, programs and exhibits.
Our facility is located in downtown Albany. We continue to collect artifacts and records to preserve Irish heritage, and the National and State Boards of the Ancient Order of Hibernians have designated us as a repository for AOH memorabilia and other artifacts of Irish heritage. Our Paul O’Dwyer library is dedicated to Irish history and the Irish American experience. In addition, our Gift Shop carries a complete line of Irish goods at our Albany location.
