Cohoes Falls

Albany County is home to the second largest waterfall in New York State! Measuring roughly 1,000 feet across and up to 90 feet high, Cohoes Falls is a magnificent sight. Go across the 192-foot-long pedestrian bridge at Falls View Park for picture-perfect views. Empire State Plaza

The Empire State Plaza is a go-to spot for sunset chasers within the city of Albany. Witness the magic of sunset as the sky transitions behind the towering office buildings and the New York State Capitol. The three large reflecting pools, accented by fountains in the summer, add to the picture-perfect beauty of sunset. 

Washington Park

Escape to Washington Park, an urban oasis in the heart of the city of Albany. Following the winding paths to the Washington Park Lake, nestled in the southwestern corner of the park, for sunset-watching. John Boyd Thacher State Park

The Overlook at John Boyd Thacher State Park is another go-to spot for sunsets in Albany County. Perched atop the Helderberg Escarpment, the Overlook boasts stunning panoramic views of the Hudson-Mohawk Valleys and the Adirondack and Green Mountains. Lincoln Park

Nestled in the city of Albany, Lincoln Park is a picturesque spot to catch a sunset. Plan to marvel at the changing sky from the top of the park along Morton Avenue. From this vantage point, sunset chasers will have a fantastic view of the city's skyline including the Empire State Plaza, Alfred E. Smith Building and New York State Museum.
