Red Lion Hotel Corporation announces arrival in the Capital Region. The Pacific Northwest-based hotel corporation had added 10 franchised properties to their portfolio, including the former Radisson Hotel on Wolf Road.

The new brand will mean big things for the 312-room hotel, including a remodel of its’ guest rooms and 22,000 square feet of meeting space. The new brand emphasizes affordability and sustainability.

“This brand really resonates out west, and I think it will be embraced by the east coast too” said hotel owner Stephan Nalley.

The proposed remodel will include moving to more earth tones, removing carpeting and replacing with new flooring, and updates to the lobby to give it more of a coffee-shop feel. “We want to create a space that makes it easier for guests to meet with clients and colleagues on premises,” says Nalley.

Red Lion also franchised nine other Inner Circle hotels, including four on the east coast. East Coast locations are Hartford, Cromwell, Albany and Baltimore.
