Overview
The 81-acre park was created during the 1870s-80s from a design by Calvert Vaux and Fredrick Olmsted, who are famous for New York City's Central Park. Among many fountains, statues, and historic homes, this historic park offers ten tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, and picnic areas. Annually, the park is known for its Tulip Festival in May, Lights in the Park during the holiday season, and Park Playhouse theater in the summer, as well as many other fairs and festivals throughout the year.
