Historic St. Peter's Protestant Episcopal Church, founded 1714. Current (1859) structure at the corners of State and Lodge, designed by Richard Upjohn, NYC architect. Elaborate stained glass and mosaic tile floors, carved marble altar, all by world-famous artisans. Welcomes tours and visitors; Friday noon-hour organ concerts.
