Where to Take Photos with the Easter Bunny 

Crossgates Mall

Hop on over to Crossgates for a photo with the Easter Bunny! Bunny Land is located on the lower level across from APEX Entertainment and is open through Saturday, April 4. Capital Photo is on hand to take pictures. With a photo purchase, each child receives a free gift!

Colonie Center

Bring your little ones to Colonie Center to say “cheese!” with the Easter Bunny, located on the first floor near Macy’s. The Easter Bunny is available March 14 through April 4 — no reservations required, though advance reservations are available on the Colonie Center website.

Easter Egg Hunts 

Colonie Center

Colonie Center's Annual Easter Egg Hunt is back, sponsored by Hannaford Supermarkets and hosted by B95.5 FM! Children will search for eggs while families gather to celebrate the season together. Admission for kids to participate is two unopened, non-perishable food items per child. Stick around for the Adult Egg Hunt Finale — in the last 10 minutes of the event, adults 18+ can enter for a chance to win prizes from retailers throughout Colonie Center. Every two additional non-perishable items donated earns one adult entry ticket (up to 10 per person). Entry tickets must be obtained in person prior to the finale.

Dick's House of Sport

The hunt will begin at 10:00 AM and is open to children ages 2–15, making it a great event for the whole family to enjoy together. Each participant will have the chance to collect 10 eggs, so don’t forget to bring your basket and get ready for some egg-citing fun! Come celebrate the season with friends, laughter, and plenty of hidden surprises.

Ten Broeck Mansion

Celebrate spring at Ten Broeck Mansion’s free Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Arts Program on Friday, April 3 at 11:00 AM. The event is free and takes place in the Ten Broeck Gardens, with separate collecting areas for children ages 3–6 and ages 7 and up. Children can enjoy the egg hunt and win free art and school supplies, Easter treats, snacks, and take-home art discovery kits. Free decorated bags are provided, and there will be a free pysanky egg art project and a traditional Central/Eastern European Easter basket foods and decorating demonstration. Pre-registration via Eventbrite is recommended as large group registrations will be returned. In case of heavy rain, the event may be cancelled.

Indian Ladder Farms

Follow the bunny trail to Altamont for Indian Ladder Farms’ Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4. This is now a ticketed event — walk-ins are not allowed. Hunts are organized by age group with the following schedule:

  • Toddler Hunt (Ages 1–4) at 10 AM
  • Elementary Hunt (Ages 5–7) at 11 AM
  • Big Kids Hunt (Ages 8–10) at 12 PM
  • Family Hunt (Mixed ages with caregiver) at 1 PM
  • Teen/Tween Hunt (Ages 11–14) at 2 PM

Purchase tickets in advance at shopindianladderfarms.com. Families should plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior for check-in. Baby Animal Days runs April 3–26 (10 AM–5 PM daily), featuring Lamb Land, Baby Animal Barn, Goat Playground, and Chicken Cafe.

Love Albany Egg Hunt

The annual Love Albany Egg Hunt returns to Washington Park on Saturday, April 4 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. This free community event features 19,000 eggs, food, music, prizes, and a festival lineup of activities including rock wall climbing, a bunny fun run for kids, a mascot dance-off, a bunny photo booth, and more. Onsite registration opens at 11:45 AM. Families are encouraged to pick up their event day program and raffle ticket upon arrival.

The New York State Museum

This family friendly museum is open on Easter. Explore New York's history through a series of exhibits. Learn about the lives of Indigenous people in New York State from over 13,000 years ago through a series of dioramas and artifacts, uncover how Albany County appeared during the Ice Ages by visiting the skeleton of the Cohoes Mastodon, and enjoy a ride on The Carousel. a fully-functional artifact built in 1914.

Indian ladder Farms - DeFazio's Easter Brunch

Spend Easter Sunday at the farm with a brunch spread by DeFazio’s, featuring farm-fresh ingredients and seasonal delights. Seatings are at 9:30 AM, 11 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2 PM. Adults: $58, Kids 3–12: $29, Kids 2 and under: Free. Reservations are required and go quickly.

Crowne Plaza Albany - The Desmond Hotel

Pickup is available Saturday, April 4 from 12–6 PM and Sunday, April 5 from 9 AM–12 PM at 743 Pierce Road, Clifton Park.
