 Hamilton in Albany

Hamilton lived, loved, and learned right here in Albany. Join us for three 'Hamilton in Albany' experiences:  Take the self-guided walking tour to learn what Hamilton did when he spent time here, then go to Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site for the "When  Alexander Hamilton Called Albany Home" tour and the Albany Institute of History & Art for a special exhibit, "Spotlight: Alexander Hamilton."

A self-guided walking tour brochure is available at the Albany Visitors Center, where the tour begins! Brochures will also be available at the Albany Institute of History & Art as well as Schuyler Mansion.

Tour Schuyler Mansion

In the Footsteps of Philip Schuyler is an audio walking tour inspired by the physical and cultural changes that have taken place in the city Philip Schuyler once called home. Using a combination of sound-art and narration, the tour seeks to offer more than a recitation of facts; rather, it hopes to stimulate an imaginative link to the environment of 1765.
