This film-friendly region has multiple NYS Qualified Production Facilities and is near our film partners in the Capital Region.
Albany County
Given Albany's convenient location to surrounding cities such as New York City, Boston, and Montreal, as well as numerous settings, government buildings, and streets that mimic Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Washington, D.C., it's no wonder that HBO, Disney, Showtime, Columbia Pictures, and indie filmmakers choose Albany. Balancing the big city look with the small-town feel, Albany has the perfect location for any shot you may need.
Rensselaer County
The City of Troy and the surrounding area have become a destination for film and television productions in upstate New York. Rensselaer County is home to the world-famous "Uncle Sam" Wilson overlooking the Hudson River and boasting a beautifully intact historic downtown filled with 19th-century architecture, many examples of Louis Comfort Tiffany's stained-glass artistry, authentic alleyways, and industrial sites - perfect for your next feature film or television series.
