Founded in 1791, the Albany Institute of History & Art is a museum dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting and promoting interest in the history, art and culture of Albany and the upper Hudson Valley region.
MUSEUM HOURS Wednesday 10:00am-5:00pm; Thursday 10am-8pm*; Friday 10am-5pm; Saturday 10am-5pm; Sunday Noon-5:00pm; Closed Monday and Tuesday (*Now offering free admission Thursdays from 5pm-8pm)

School and docent-guided group tours are also available during regular museum hours and by appointment on Tuesdays.
