Conveniently located close to Albany International Airport and the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87), Wolf Road is home to some of the area’s finest hotels; the region’s second largest shopping mall; and a variety of local and chain restaurants, including high-end eateries not found elsewhere in the region. It has several o ice parks, o ering businesses an accessible alternative close to downtown with plenty of parking.
Wolf Road is close to a variety of local attractions, including the Shaker Heritage Society, America’s first Shaker settlement, and Pruyn House. It is also centrally located for sightseeing adventures in downtown Albany, a thrilling trip to the racetrack at Saratoga Springs, or a day of play at the casinos in Schenectady and Saratoga.
Local historians believe Wolf Road’s origins may be connected to John Wolf Kemp, who settled there in the late 18th century. It evolved slowly from farm country to semi-rural suburban neighborhood with
a few family businesses.
Today, Wolf Road is the heart of the region, and Albany’s busiest commercial corridor. Travelers, diners, professionals, shoppers and other visitors to the region all eventually find their way to Wolf Road. You should, too. You’ll be glad you did.
