Whether you enjoy history or simply enjoy the scenic view of the Hudson River, the Blockhouse has something for the whole family. Inside photos, documents, and memorabilia telling the story of Stillwater's rich historic past. You will learn what it was like in a small town during the battles of "Saratoga" (Freemans Farm and Bemis Heights). Peeking through the portholes once used for firing at the enemy, you can just imagine the courage of the early settlers that gathered in these blockhouses for protection.
