The Edward F. McDonough Sports Complex at HVCC is a state-of-the-art health, recreation, and physical education facility. This complex consists of a large field house with three regulation basketball courts, the Robert M. Conway Ice Rink (home to many area skating organizations, including the Hudson Valley men's hockey team), volleyball courts, fully equipped Nautilus fitness rooms and racquetball courts, an indoor track (including long jump pit), equipped with wrestling mats, a multi-purpose room, and a conference room. This facility also includes multi-purpose rooms covering 1,550 S.F. complete with soft surface flooring and a video/sound system for aerobics and dance activities. There is also a large, spacious lobby and reception area with ticket booth.
At HVCC, the Robert M. Conway Ice Rink is an NCAA Regulation Ice Rink with a concession area, central heating, and metal bleachers. It also features public skating and ice skating lessons. There are four lighted asphalt regulation outdoor tennis courts with locker rooms and showers available. Other outdoor facilities also include one lighted football field, one non-lighted softball field, one soccer/lacrosse field, three racquetball courts, nine badminton courts and a discus and high jump area.
