Learn some simple gentle and restorative exercises that open and release parts of the body, especially those involved in writing, including shoulders, arms, and hands. Designed for everyone, these are inclusive and supported postures – no mat work. Accompanying these will be writing exercises that make use of the benefits of opening not only the body, but also the heart and mind. No special equipment or clothing required, except for loose, comfortable outfits.
Ellen Higgins, Ph.D., author and writing instructor, has been teaching writing for over 30 years, including a Writing Workshop for the Bethlehem Central Schools Adult Ed program since 2007. She has also taught yoga/meditation and water safety and fitness classes.
