This year's the featured reader is hometown actress/playwright Charlayne Woodard, who is a 2-time Obie award winner, Tony award nominee, series regular on the Emmy award winning show Pose, and a recent addition to the Marvel Universe. Casey Seiler, Editor-in-Chief of the Times Union, will be the Master of Ceremonies. Also taking the stage are local readers: Shakeema Funchess, Dorcey Applyers, Sylivia Barnard, Bertha Blunt, and Saamya Deo from Children at the Well. Setting off the event, for the first time, a Wizard’s Wardrobe student will read an original story.
