Calling ALL regional Albany NY Residents with a story to tell… Looking for the next 2024 “First Friday” thing-to-do? Learn how to weave YOUR story into a unique piece of art that you can take home with you!

Underground Railroad Education Center is hosting a very special Community Art Project Series at the Historic Stephen & Harriet Myers Residence – 194 Livingston Ave in Albany NY.

Join us 6:30pm on the first Fridays of February, April, AND May 2024! Lori Kochanski, local fiber artist, will teach us how to weave in a variety of ways. There’ll be a chance to weave your own story and take that art with you!

We’ll also have an opportunity to work on a COMMUNITY art piece that will be on display at the Historic Myers Residence.

This art series is designed to help us weave together a story – that will tell our many experiences of what it is to be a neighbor.

The finished project will become part of a permanent collection to be exhibited at UREC’s FUTURE Interpretive Center on Livingston Avenue.

    Good people and Good times.
