Join us for this art workshop with Albany County artist Shirley Clarke.
Bring your favorite photo of a person and learn how to turn it into a work of art with Albany County artist Shirley Clarke. Suitable for all skill levels - beginners welcome. Class includes tour of portraits in the Ten Broeck Mansion (about 15 minutes). Age 18 & up. For all skill levels.
Supplies:Â bring what you have - something to draw with, and something to draw on.
- your choice of water-soluble media such as pencil, charcoal, ink, pastels, crayon, or marker (no oil paints or solvents, please).
- bring a printout of a favorite photo of a person or two
- recommended paper size: 16 x 20" or 11 x 14"
- for those who do not have art supplies, a small selection will be provided.
Program held in Education Room at King's Place, N. Swan Street, adjacent to Ten Broeck Mansion site.
About the artist:Â Albany County artist Shirley Clarke specializes in colored pencil and watercolor portraits and scenes from nature, and she has exhibited widely in the area.
