    Join site interpreter and architectural historian Tina Lesern for a special tour cofusing on the architectural history and restoration of the onetime can Rensselaer family home. From its earliest beginnings as a 1660s Dutch farmhouse and continuing through the early 1800s, Crailo underwent various periods of construction and remodeling, reflecting various architectural influences along the way. Restoration efforts in the 1930s added more complexity to the building's story. The tour will look at the unique elements of Dutch colonial architecture and how Crailo's unique archictural journey reflected and departed from that distinct style that comon to Hudson River Valley Homes. the tour also examines some of Crailo's frequently overlooked features, hidden elements, and distinct details that make it a one-of-a-kind architectural gem.
