Using breathing and guided imagery techniques, we’ll tap into memory and the unconscious for creative expression, particularly writing. Meditation and relaxation can help center us and can lessen critical voices, freeing us up to tell our stories, whether fictional or nonfiction/ memoir. They can also aid in tapping into memory for distinct sensory and biographical details.
Bring your favorite writing tools, whether electronic or mechanical.
Paper and pens/pencils will be available as back up.
Bio: Ellen Higgins, Ph.D., author and writing instructor, has been teaching writing for over 30 years, including a Writing Workshop for the Bethlehem Central Schools Adult Ed program since 2007. She has also taught yoga/meditation and water safety and fitness classes.
