Overview
Healing circles offer Black women a supportive space to explore their economic narratives through storytelling and body mapping, visualizing how financial stress and resilience manifest physically. Grounded in research- based, trauma informed approaches to communal healing, the workshops foster connection, provide tools for reflection, and share local resources to validate experiences and build collective strategies for self-care against systemic challenges.
Presented by Jae Gayle, MetaCocoMom, independent artist and researcher specializing in using creative tools for community activation. With over 20 years experience in education, nonprofit management, and the performing arts, Ms. Gayle delights in creating engaging immersive experiences for audiences and local communities. -
