This final presentation of the Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center's Winter Lecture Series at the Van Schaick Island Country Club offers an overview of the 37,000 German soldiers hired by the British from seven German states during the war. The program briefly identifies the German nation states, addresses common myths about the German soldiers, and focuses on the Germans serving under General Burgoyne in 1777.
