The next installment in Historic Albany’s podcast series, Listen Albany, is a chat about the fragments of buildings that are ensconced within newer buildings throughout the city. Some are remnants of days long gone such as the “mouse tooth wall” embedded within a 1860s commercial building.  Others are architectural elements purposefully removed to be reused in a new design, like a bank facade dismantled and reinstalled on a new building on the same site. Explore the architectural secrets of Albany from your seat in the marvelous adaptively reused former St. Teresa’s Church, now Overit Media.

All proceeds support the stabilization of 48 Hudson Avenue, a Dutch house hidden within a 19th century commercial building. This program is made possible in part with support from the Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau Foundation.
