This new documentary delves into the fascinating story of blues singer Lead Belly, featuring interviews with a variety of music legends -- including B.B. King, Odetta, Janis Joplin, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Harry Belafonte -- who were shaped by his work.
With a blend of rare video footage and music performances, viewers are taken on a remarkable ride through Lead Belly's life and career, from his sharecropper childhood, to time spent in prison, to his remarkable musical career and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
