    Although technology and social media use can be positive for many teens, problematic media use and cyberbullying can be a concern for many parents, educators, and other professionals working with children and adolescents. This webinar will provide an overview on technology and social media use among youth, with a focus on cyberbullying. Specific strategies and resources will be shared to prevent cyberbullying and promote safe and respectful behavior in online spaces.

    Dr. Stephanie Fredrick is the Associate Director of the Alberti Center for Bullying Abuse Prevention and is an Assistant Professor of School Psychology at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. She is a licensed psychologist and a nationally certified school psychologist. Her research focuses on risk and protective factors for youth and young adults involved in bullying and cyberbullying, with a focus on cyberbullying prevention and media use.
