This walk goes through the streets and paths in two old canal towns where the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers join. Cohoes also played an important role in cotton manufacturing and was thus known as the "Spindle City ". Waterford is still an active canal town for both the Erie and Champlain canals. You will see the old mill complex in Cohoes and walk in the tracks of the mules on the Waterford waterfront.
