  • Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Overview

The Fox Preserve is tucked between homes and the bike path and exhibits diverse habitats like an old field, marsh, and a hilltop oak forest above the ravine of Shaker Creek. You can also enjoy views of the Mohawk River and beyond! Join Laura Lehtonen and Steve Young on a hike to identify plants of early summer. June 6-12th is New York’s eighth annual “Invasive Species Awareness Week” so bring your smartphone and learn how to use the app “iMapInvasives” as you learn some of the most common invasive plant species that MHLC manages. You can be part of a community science project to map invasives and help preserve our native flora!

Masks and social distancing are required during this event and registration will be limited.
