In observation of the American Library Association's National Banned Books Week, local authors, activists, actors and others will read excerpts from their favorite banned books. Readers include Capital Region Activist Nell Stokes, Capital Repertory Theatre Artistic Director Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill, actor/entertainer Steve Holmes (a/k/a Carmie Hope) and author Linda Wagner, among others. Informal discussion and reception will follow the program. Proceeds will benefit a local public school library, to be announced at the event. Space is limited. Please note: the second floor ballroom of the Womans Club of Albany is not currently ADA accessible.
