Tulip Festival


The Annual Tulip Festival has established itself as Albany's signature spring event. Showcasing local culture and business Tulip Festival is jam-packed with community organizations while also featuring annual traditions rooted is Albany's rich Dutch heritage. Submerge yourself in local artisans and vendors, delicious food, live family fun entertainment and more than 140,000 tulips at Albany's historic Washington Park this Mother's Day weekend.

 

St. Sophia's Greek Festival

Admission: 12 yrs and older $3, free for all under 12

Join St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church and the Albany Community to "Go Greek" for the annual St. Sophia Greek Festival! Rain or shine, take part in the food, fun, and shopping on Friday, May 13 from 6-11 PM, Saturday, May 14 from 12-11 PM and Sunday, May 15 from 12-7 PM located at 440 Whitehall Road, Albany, NY. Throughout the festival, there will be continuous live Greek Music and dancers in traditional costumes. There will also be delicious authentic Greek food including entrees and pastries. As if that wasn't enough, there will be vendors will jewelry and souvenirs, amusement rides for the kids, church tours, and free parking with a shuttle service to and from the parking areas.

 

Alive at Five

For the past 25 years, Alive at Five has been the high energy weekend kick-start in Albany. Each week during the series, bands of various genres from the local, regional, and national scene take the stage to entertain professionals, community members, and friends. Alive at Five is not just about the music, though. Enjoy great food, drinks, and views of the river while kicking back in the summer sun.

Dad Fest is chance for the whole family to kick back and enjoy an early summer afternoon at the Capital Region's most picturesque park, surrounded by good folks, good tunes and good times. Of course, you don't have to be a dad to enjoy Dad Fest - this event offers a little fun for everyone.

Capital Pride Festival

The annual, two-week long celebration of pride in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community throughout the Capital Region will conclude with a festival and parade in Albany's beautiful Washington Park. Throughout the two weeks there are many great events for all to enjoy. With tons of great vendors, all types of food and drink, tremendous performances, a fun-filled family zone, fire eaters, spinners, face painters, and so much more the Capital PRIDE Festival is a great family-friendly celebration of the LGBTQ community!
