All Hallow E’en Art Path

Inspired by the original 1904 & 1905 All-Hallow E’en Festival where local businesses showcased festive window displays, Albany Center Gallery has teamed up with local artists and businesses to create a stunning array of fall-inspired window art and outdoor murals. Explore this vibrant art path along North Pearl Street! 

Special Screening: Folklore & Frost
Tuesday, October 7 | 12 PM | New York State Museum - Huxley Theatre
Join the New York State Museum every Tuesday in October for Folklore & Frost, a local documentary series exploring the rich history and mysterious tales of Northern New York. Each episode highlights historic sites where unexplained occurrences and ghostly legends are part of everyday life. From haunted inns and old courthouses to mysterious apparitions and strange happenings, these stories bring the past—and the paranormal—to life.

Mulled Wine and Murder
Wednesday, October 8 | 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM | Historic Cherry Hill
Travel back in time to an eerie event in Cherry Hill's history. This event will tell the story of an infamous murder that took place at the historic site in 1827. Sip on mulled wine and taste foods from that year by the glow of jack-o-lantern light. Then trace in the footsteps of the crime on a murder-themed tour of the house. This tasting event is in collaboration with the Siena Beverage Institute.

Murder at Cherry Hill
Thursday, October 9 - Saturday, October 11 | Various Times | Historic Cherry Hill
Follow the footsteps of an infamous murderer who's harrowing story took place at Cherry Hill in 1827. This murder resulted in two sensational trials and Albany's final public hanging. Relive that night during one of Cherry Hill's popular October tours.

Pumpkin Party on the Hill
Saturday, October 11 | 12 PM to 3 PM | Historic Cherry Hill
Join Albany Barn and Historic Cherry Hill for this free, all-ages event. At the Pumpkin Party, the winners of Cherry Hill's pumpkin carving contest will be revealed. Enjoy a fun day amongst jack-o-lantern art, vote for your favorite, and do a little carving of your own.

Albany Twilight Market

Go on an adventure exploring the rich past of Albany County at this event presented by Ten Broeck Mansion. Plan your own walk, driving, or bike route and journey to sites such as Albany Rural CemeteryStephen and Harriet Myers Residence and the Irish American Heritage Museum. Each site will have special free programming.
