This year is the inaugural Irish Sweat-er Albany St. Patrick’s Day 5K! Cheer on the runners from the side lines as they race throughout downtown Albany, or register to join in on the fun yourself! Who knows? There might even be a pot of gold at the end of the race!
Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
The 68th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at 2:00 PM, moving east along Washington Ave towards City Hall and Pearl Street. Irish pipers, step dancers, bands, and more, will march through the streets with festive fanfare. Enjoy the spectacle in your best green get-up with family and friends! It is an Albany tradition you will not want to miss.

Complete your Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations with a festive meal! There are many cozy pubs and delicious restaurants in Albany where you can grab a bite of Irish fare, such as Public House 42 or McGeary’s Irish Pub. The Century House in Latham is hosting a special St. Patrick’s Day Dinner serving up traditional Irish dishes with a modern twist, such as soda bread bruschetta and twisted corned beef with grilled cabbage.
