My name is Jazzie Gray, I am from Baltimore, MD and made the move to Albany, N.Y in late July of 2018. I am an Americorps Vista fellow through Siena college and I work with the Underground Railroad History Project as the Capacity Building Coordinator. My role is to create sustainable systems for long-term development for the organization and community outreach to bring all walks of life to take part of URHP. Whether that being visitors, donors, sponsors or partnerships with different institutions. I do everything in my power to spread the word about URHP and get people involved in any way possible. I am grateful to have the privilege to work with URHP to continue their efforts to encourage and strengthen the community with historical African American research and preservation, youth empowerment through programming and community engagement and development.
