ALBANY, N.Y. -- Harmony House Tours has new tours ready for great summertime fun.

Starting July 16 and continuing every Tuesday and Thursday through August at 11 a.m., Harmony House Tours will offer guided walking tours of downtown Albany. The tours will leave from Quackenbush Square by the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center and will explore the history, architecture and the hidden treasures of the Capital City. Aug. 6 marks the first evening for a new guided walking tour, Hops and Haunts. Discover why Albany has had a long love affair with great beer and ghastly ghosts and learn about the spirits that inhabit the historic buildings and streets of the city's downtown. The tour will meet by the Albany Pump Station in Quackenbush Square and depart at 7 p.m. every Tuesday in August. The cost is $15 per person (beverages not included).

On Aug. 4, the popular American Girl tour leaves from the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center. Girls, their dolls and their adult companions are invited to board the Trolley to explore Albany to find out where their dolls may have lived.
