Welcome to downtown Albany, where historic charm and vibrant energy converge! Discover a wealth of attractions, including stunning architecture, the New York State Capitol, New York State Museum, Empire State Plaza, The Egg Performing Arts Center, memorable churches and cultural gems like the Albany Institute of History & Art.

A short walk from the Hilton and Hampton hotels is the Albany Skyway.  This is a year-round linear park that is open to pedestrians and bicyclists.  The Skyway connects with the Corning Preserve Jogging and Walking Trail that winds along the Hudson River.  And speaking of bicycles, CDTA has several bicycle rental stations in downtown Albany.

Savor the flavors of Albany with diverse dining options, from cozy cafes to award-winning restaurants serving global cuisines. Shop local at boutique stores or explore unique finds in the heart of the city.

Located just a short walk from downtown Albany's business district is Lark Street, often referred to as the "Greenwich Village" of the Capital Region. With countless restaurants, cafes, art galleries, boutiques and more, Lark Street is reminiscent of the great and colorful neighborhoods of Manhattan.
