Strikes Gold Again!

At the Florida International Wine Competition

The 24th Annual Florida International Wine Competition was held this past weekend and the gold goes to … “The Conductor’s Cassis” produced and bottled in Rensselaer County by Brookview Station Winery at Goold Orchards.

Brookview Station also took home 2 bronze medals for their Whistle Stop White Apple Wine and “Sunset Charlie”.

New York wines as a group did very well taking home a total of 155 medals. Brookview Station Winery was the only Hudson Valley winery to receive medals.

“We are so proud of all of our wines and we especially love our Conductor’s Cassis. It is just a spectacular cordial and we all are thrilled to have it wine a gold medal” said Sue Miller, owner of Goold Orchards-Brookview Station Winery. 

To celebrate this weekend’s medal wins, Brookview Station and the Miller family will host a free wine tasting featuring The Conductor’s Cassis, Sunset Charlie and their flagship wine “Whistle Stop White”  this Saturday February 18th from Noon-4pm in the tasting room at Goold Orchards, Schodack NY.

Brookview Station Winery produces over a dozen wines using fruits from their home farm, Goold Orchards and locally grown Hudson Valley fruits. Brookview Station has won numerous awards and medals for its wines. Their “Whistle-Stop White”, a semi-dry apple wine was honored as 2007’s Best Hudson River Region Wine.
