The Henry Hudson Planetarium, housed in the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center, is an official NASA Space Place! Our staff offers fun and educational public astronomy programs on the third Saturday of each month at $3 per person. Programs for school groups, birthday parties, and other group functions may be made by reservation.
Children's Astronomy Show | Every third Saturday of each month at 11 a.m.
Interactive program exploring the stars, planets, comets, and constellations in the night sky geared toward children aged 3 to 7 and their families.
Albany Star Sighting | Every third Saturday of each month at 1 p.m.
Interactive program identifies stars, planets, comets, and constellations in the night sky and the tools and techniques for becoming an ameteur astronomer geared toward chilren aged 8 and above, as well as adults.
Birthday Parties at the Henry Hudson Planetarium!
Parties include a star program and private party space. 25 children maximum per party. $125 party fee. Please call 800-258-3582 to make your reservation!
