Discover Albany this Spring

63rd Annual Albany Tulip Festival

Nothing says Mother's Day like flowers, and in Washington Park there will once again be gorgeous blossoms of over 200,000 tulip bulbs which will miraculously erase winter's shades of grey in an exquisite bouquet of colors. If there were only one event in Albany that's not to be missed, this is it! Better still, it's FREE and open to everyone!

Plant your feet on State Street for the annual kick-off ceremony of the Tulip Fest on Friday, May 6th at Noon - the State Street Scrub. Then, spring out of bed before 11:00am on Saturday morning (get there early for the best parking spot!) for the fabulously, fun-filled day of Tulip Fest, filled with children’s activities, craft vendors, delicious food, and multiple stages with nationally-acclaimed musical performances, and of course, the annual crowning of the Albany Tulip Queen.

Sunday, pop up and celebrate all over again until 6:00pm, after you've witnessed the crowning of the 13th annual Mother of the Year Award. Then don't forget to take your mom to dinner in one of our many delectable Albany restaurants!   More info: www.albanyevents.org
