Go to Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site for the "When Alexander Hamilton Called Albany Home" tour. Hamilton met and wed his wife at this stately manor. Meet the fascinating and impressive Schuyler family and learn more about the pivotal role they played in Hamilton's life, and experience what life was like in early Colonial America.
Visit the Albany Institute of History & Art for a special exhibit, "Spotlight: Alexander Hamilton." This special exhibition, presented during the Albany Institute's 225th year, focuses on Alexander Hamilton's Albany connections, using objects from the museum's collection, along with a few significant loans. Afterwards enjoy lunch at Crisan Cafe, conveniently located right in the Institute, and enjoy 10% off. Crisan offers gourmet sandwiches and salads, and work-of-art pastries.
Finally, take the self-guided walking tour to learn what Hamilton saw and did in Albany, and become familiar with the society that shaped some of his most important decisions. The walking tour brochure is available at the Albany Visitors Center, where the tour begins! Or you can click here to download the brochure.
Brochures will also be available at the Albany Institute of History & Art as well as Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site.
