What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I love to rock climb and go hiking. Being outdoors is the best place to be especially in summer time. The feeling of a long hike to the top of a mountain to get to those gorgeous views is so rewarding. Some of my other hobbies are making all natural bath and body products like face masks, toners, soaps and scrubs. Someday I might even like to have my own business making things people would feel happy and healthy about using! I also like to play guitar and sing.

What's playing on your iPod?
My favorite band of the moment is Lake Street Dive! They are an awesome four piece band based out of Boston. There is a drummer, a stand-up bass player, a combo guitar trumpet player (he does not play them both at the same time though) and an amazing lead singer. They have an old-time blues sound mixed with a pop sound and their harmonies are off the charts. I recently saw them at Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, NY and my gosh what a show! Everyone should see a concert at Brewery Ommegang it is a great venue!

What is your favorite Albany restaurant/meal and why?
I grew up in Clifton Park and Ballston Lake so I have lived in this area for most of my life but never frequented Downtown Albany. Since I started working here I am falling in love with downtown, especially all the amazing food it has to offer! My favorite spots right now are Ama Cocina and Stueben St. Market. Ama Cocina's has awesome street/Mexican food and their guacamole is so good. Stueben St. Market is amazing place to stop for a quick lunch. They have a salad bar, fresh deli sandwiches, a wide range of premade salads. You can even get freshly squeezed juice! I love eating healthy, fresh food and these two spots are so fresh and healthy!

Describe what you do in your job.
I like to say I am the Albany Help Button. Whether it comes to providing or recommending a unique Albany Service or Albany film location, we can definitely accommodate our clients and filmmakers.

What's your favorite location in Albany and why?
Walking up and down Pearl Street in downtown Albany on my lunch hour, I love the 400 year old architecture and all the hustle and bustle of everyone out and about.

If Film Albany were to bring any movie star here, who would you want it to be and why?
I would want it to be Kirk Douglas. He is from Amsterdam, NY and is extremely gifted as an actor, writer, producer, director and author.

What's one thing people don't know about you?
My real name is Cicada! My mom named me after the insect because she always loved the buzzing sounds they make.

What's your hidden talent?
Italiano! I studied the language at the University of Oregon and was lucky enough to study abroad in Ferrara, Italy in 2013 - an incredible experience that I would do again in a heartbeat!

What is your favorite Albany restaurant/meal and why?
Bombers! The Albany location especially because of its local atmosphere and great staff. Can't forget the happy hour!

What's your favorite location in Albany and why?
I am a real fan of the New York State Museum. Great exhibits, wonderful kids programming-and a carousel! I always take out-of-town visitors there in the summer, and my family practically lives there in the winter. It's our go-to spot.

Who inspires you?
My children. They are continually curious, and love to tell us stories-about their day, about a place they saw, about people they met, about what they learned. They are always on the look-out for fun, and I try to follow that example.

What is your favorite Albany restaurant/meal and why?
I love New World Bistro. The menu is always new and exciting, with a good dose of spicy. And they have great cocktails. Put me on the patio with a plate of blackened stringbeans or purple haze shrimp, and I'm a happy girl.

Do you have a spouse, siblings, children, or pets you would like to acknowledge or admit to?
In my family, I am the oldest of 3 girls. Besides all of the "get out of my closet!" arguments we've had over the years, I truly adore and admire my younger sisters. They inspire me and always keep me laughing.

What's your hidden talent?
I'm really good at impersonations. I'm also a wealth of useless celebrity & pop culture knowledge. I should probably audition for SNL one day.

What's your favorite location in Albany and why?
I think Washington Park is absolutely beautiful. There is so much to enjoy there year round. In the Summer it is the perfect place to go and have a picnic; in the Fall it is a great place to view the foliage as the park is painted in vibrant colors; Spring brings over 100,000 beautiful tulips (and tons of great Instagram opportunities); and in the Winter you can enjoy Holiday Lights in the Park or a quiet snowy stroll. I am constantly discovering new and exciting things to do and see within Washington Park, and you should too!

What's one thing people don't know about you?
I played DI Women's Lacrosse for the University at Albany. Go Danes!

What's your favorite location in Albany and why?
My favorite location in Albany is Washington Park. There is something to do there year round and it makes for a great area to go for a long run! I love to go and relax in the park on a warm summer Sunday. On those days a lot of people bring their dogs to one spot to play, its very fun to sit back and watch.

If you could trade places with anyone (living or from history) for a week, who would you choose and why?
I would 100% trade places with Cher. She is by far one of my most favorite music artists and can produce better music than most stars today (in my opinion). But not only is she a musical genius, she is also an Oscar Winning Actress. Honestly, who wouldn't want to trade places with Cher?

The one thing I won't tell!

Do you have a spouse, siblings, children, or pets you would like to acknowledge or admit to?
I wait hand and foot on my two girls, Clara, 8, and Maggie, 11 - feedings, cleaning litter boxes and vacuuming, vacuuming, vacuuming.

What's your favorite location in Albany and why?
ONE of my favorites is taking in a concert at The Egg - excellent venue for concerts!

Who inspires you?
My father. As a child, he would often take me on local adventures to historic homes and abandoned cemeteries and everything had a story. He knows more about history than anyone I know, and he still wanders Albany with the awe of a kid. He continues to find something new to love in the city he grew up in. Who couldn't be inspired by that?

If you could trade places with anyone (living or from history) for a week, who would you choose and why?
NYS Governor Alfred E. Smith. Why? Not only did he live in the Governor's Mansion but he kept a petting zoo on the grounds. A petting zoo! Not only could I live in the Governor's Mansion but I'd also have lots of cool animals to play with while I'm there! How fun would that be?

What's your favorite location in Albany and why?
The Million Dollar Staircase at the NYS Capitol Building. 100s of hidden faces of the stone carvers friends and family members. It's the type of history you can't find in books.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Kayaking when I can manage to get the kayak on top of my car to go to some beautiful spot.

Who inspires you?
The diverse people I meet and work with daily (triathaletes included) with their various idiosyncrasies and talents... they're all inspiring.

What do you think is one of Albany's hidden treasures?
In my biased view, the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center and all that it encompasses, is Albany's hidden gem. Our visitors continually attest to that! The assistance we provide to our guests, our exhibit space so rich in history, our planetarium, our educational programs, along with our Albany-themed gift shop, all combine in a beautiful historic space to surprise and delight our visitors.
