Year 'round events and special memories await you in Albany. Fairs and festivals abound in all seasons. Each year begins with WinterFestival, a fabulous New Year's celebration on the Saturday prior to New Year's Day each year, in historic downtown Albany. The Albany Tulip Festival welcomes spring each year. With roots in the Capital Region's rich Dutch heritage, it is a tradition that has been alive for more than 50 years. The Hudson River, Washington Park, the Empire State Plaza and historic streets provide the backdrop for a wide variety of events throughout the entire year. The winter holidays bring a fabulous light display in historic Washington Park, house tours and special performances.
