I cannot let the year end without saying "Thank You"! After 25 years of hosting an annual conference to assist New York's minority and women-owned businesses, DASNY is delighted that, as of this year, the DASNY MWBE Conference became the New York State MWBE Forum. This year's event drew over 1,000 registrants and 125 exhibitors.
On behalf of the DASNY conference planning team, please allow me to take this opportunity to extend our sincerest appreciation for your assistance with marketing downtown Albany and its array of fine dining establishments. While "dinner on your own" is not a new conference trend, it was a twist on the past experience of our attendees. However, thanks to your active participation at the conference, they were able to navigate both the downtown restaurant scene, as well as other local events.
I thought you might also like to know that responses to the Forum's exit survey - a measurement of participant satisfaction - found that:
- 31% of our registrants dined at restaurants participating in Restaurant Week;
- of that number, the majority (60%) dined at either Jack's (Oyster House) or the Brown Derby; and,
- 81% rated their dining experience "good" or "excellent".
These results speak volumes about this alternative to traditional plated dinners; and, your presence at the Forum helped make the experiment a success. Again, we thank you for joining us in helping to provide a first-rate dining experience for the Forum's attendees.
