If you think Sunday isn't Sunday without brunch, you've come to the right place. Albany is home to some brunch aficionados. We call them the "Brunch Bunch," and they're definitely worth a visit.
Located in the Renaissance Albany hotel, this restaurant boasts stunning views of the Capitol and City Hall, and a brunch menu that caters to locavores. We're partial to the Hudson Valley Apple Pancakes, Macaroni and Cheese, and the New York Eggs Benedict (it comes on a pumpernickel bagel), but believe me when we say, we've never had a bad meal at this place. Start with a 518 Mimosa, and let your appetite take the lead.
This Wolf Road seafood restaurant is making itself a must-try for most Capital Region residents and it has everything to do with their creative take on old favorites. Try the tuna benedict or the oscar omelette with crab and see what I mean. Brunch is served with live music themed around holidays - Irish for St. Patty's Day, love songs for Valentine's Day, and once a month conductor David Alan Miller introduces children to the music of the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
This downtown restaurant delivers brunch with a bite. Take for instance the "Wake and Bakes":steak and eggs, green eggs and ham, or chilaquiles. Or for a sweeter tooth, check out churros Mexican french toast, or blue corn pancakes. The interior is fun and colorful, and the staff is friendly. A great place to people watch, or just get your guac fix.
