Albany, New York - The Tulip Festival Chairman’s Reception for the 2011 Tulip Queen finalists will be held TONIGHT, May 3, at DeJohn’s restaurant from 6:00 pm to 7:30pm.
This reception serves as the final step in the judging process for the 2011 Tulip Queen. The five finalists will each have an opportunity to speak and elaborate on their ideas to promote education in the Capital Region through the Mayor Jerry Jennings Literacy Campaign.
Mayor Jerry Jennings, Tulip Festival Chair Marcus Q. Pryor, former Tulip Queens and members of the Tulip Queen Judging Committee will also be in attendance.
Press is invited for interview and story opportunities on the role of the Tulip Queen and Court in Albany.
The 2011 Albany Tulip Queen coronation will be held Saturday, May 7 on the Washington Park Lakehouse Amphitheatre Stage at 12:00pm.
