Living Resources Art Exhibit Open at Albany Visitors Center

ALBANY, NY - The Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACCVB) is proud to announce that the 14th Annual Living Resources Carriage House Artists Showcase: The House of Cards that CHAC Built - Play Ball!, opened to the public on Saturday, July 28, 2011, at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center.Living Resources is a community services agency assisting clients with developmental disabilities. Their Carriage House Arts Center (CHAC) provides students with art instruction from a variety of talented artists. Over 200 pieces of art are displayed throughout the Visitors Center, and each piece of art is for sale.
Featuring sports-themed artwork, the exhibit was inspired by the donation of 30,000 sports cards to the CHAC. Approximately 600 cards were used to build a replica of Yankee Stadium and other pieces in the exhibit.
"This year's exhibit is an excellent example of the talent that can come from the Carriage House Arts Center," states Anne Murphy, Exhibit Coordinator of the Living Resources Carriage House Arts Center. "We are happy to be back at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center for this special exhibit."
"We are happy to welcome the Living Resources Carriage House Arts Center back to the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center for a fourteenth year," states Michele Vennard, President and CEO of the Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau. "The exhibit is an incredible display of talent and creativity and the visitors enjoying seeing the artwork each year."
