Albany to host Exhibit of Indonesian Batik Collections of President Barack Obama’s Mother and First Lady of Indonesia

NEW YORK, NY (July 20, 2009) – During her years spent in Indonesia, American anthropologist Ann Dunham; mother of President Barack Obama, collected many unusual and exceptional pieces of traditional Indonesian batik that have formed the heart of a unique exhibition called “A Lady Found A Culture in Cloth: Barack Obama’s Mother in Indonesia” which will arrive in Albany on Tuesday, July 28th.
