ALBANY, NY--Flowing south for 315 miles, from Lake Tear of the Clouds in the Adirondacks to New York City, the Hudson River is an icon of American history and imagination, and a symbol of our nation’s development since the first Europeans explored the Hudson River Valley four hundred years ago. In 2009, the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial will celebrate the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s exploration of the river that bears his name. The Albany Institute of History & Art will mark the Quadricentennial with a major exhibition, Hudson River
