ACCVB TAPS TALENT FOR MARKETING AND SALES POSITIONS
ALBANY, NY – The Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACCVB) recently hired Schuyler Bull as marketing manager, Tanya Dawn Matthews as senior sales manager, and Charlie Hewitt as convention sales assistant.
Schuyler Bull joins the ACCVB from Baker Public Relations where he most recently served as an account executive. In his role as marketing manager, Schuyler leads the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing and public relations plan for the Bureau, as well as serves as editor-in-chief of the annual Albany Visitors Guide. Mr. Bull is a dual BS/MBA graduate of The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, and is a member of the Capital Alliance of Young Professionals.
As senior sales manager, Tanya Dawn Matthews represents Albany County to meeting planners and assists them in finding appropriate venues for their programs. Tanya attended the State University of New York, Purchase for Dance and Psychology, and received her BA in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Matthews has over twelve years of experience in sales and catering, most recently at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida, where she served as director of catering. Matthews is a member of the Empire State Society of Association Executives, National Association of Catering Executives, and the International Society of Special Events.
Charlie Hewitt was recently named Convention Sales Assistant. In this position, Charlie will support the convention sales and services staff in their efforts to promote Albany County and its facilities as the destination for conventions, conferences, meetings, reunions, and athletic events. Mr. Hewitt received his AAS in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Schenectady County Community College, and is currently pursuing his BBA with a concentration in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi. Charlie is a member of the Northeastern New York Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, and most recently served as a sales and marketing intern at the ACCVB.
