The events (January, 2012) kick-off with a Winemakers' Dinner to be held at various restaurants in downtown Albany, followed by wine & food pairings, seminars and cooking demonstrations at the Food & Wine tastings on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. The weekend events will conclude with a Chef’s Grand Dinner and Wine Auction that will pair the City’s top chefs with the finest wines from around the world.

This highly anticipated, FREE, spring event celebrates Albany's Dutch heritage with the blooming of 211,000 tulips in over 140 varieties, in a myriad of colors.Tulip Fest is packed with entertainment on 4 stages, over 100 crafters, fine arts show, gardening talks, food vendors, family fun, and the crowning of the Tulip Queen! For 64 years, people travel from all over to fill Washington Park with celebration!
NYS Heritage Weekend

Will showcase the Empire State to residents and visitors alike and to help kick off the summer tourism season. Heritage Weekend will highlight special events at heritage and cultural destinations throughout NYS. Themes for Heritage Weekend events include: Military History, Arts and Culture, Commerce, Innovation, Historic Architecture, Freedom, Traditions, and Community Heritage.
