One-Day Albany Classic Tour

9:00 AM Arrive at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center for an orientation to the history of New York's capital city. Tour the exhibit gallery and the USS Albany display; view a 15 minute orientation film, "Albany: A Cultural Crossroads" or see a planetarium show, and then take time to explore the shop for Distinctive Albany items and unique gifts. 10:00 AM Tour Albany on land and water aboard the Albany Aqua Ducks amphibious vehicles or have a step-on guide board your bus for a tour of historic downtown Albany. 11:30 AM Enjoy lunch at one of the seven food outlets inside the Empire State Plaza or at one of downtown Albany's fine restaurants. 1:00 PM Arrive at the New York State Capitol for a guided tour of this fascinating, hand-carved pinnacle of state government. The French chateau-style structure boasts beautiful legislative chambers and the recently renovated "Million Dollar Staircase." 3:00 PM Arrive at the New York State Museum. Stroll through turn-of-the century Manhattan and the experience the Adirondack Wilderness plus the permanent exhibit "The World Trade Center, Rescue Recover Response." 5:00 PM Enjoy a dinner cruise along the Hudson River aboard the Dutch Apple or the Captain JP, or dine at one of the area's group-friendly restaurants. 7:00 PM Depart This is a suggested tour.
