New York State Capitol - “Capitol Hauntings” Tours Through-out October: Join the “ghost hunting” Capitol Tour Guides as they take you through the “hot spots” of the Capitol. Brave visitors will make their way to the exact spot where Samuel Abbott, the Capitol’s night watchman died in the Capitol fire of 1911. Then they will explore the legend of the “Secret Demon” near the Great Western Staircase. Find out which two US Presidents visited the Capitol after they died and learn about the state Assembly Chamber’s secret, hidden murals and the tormented artist who created them. www.ogs.state.ny.us

Albany Trolley's Ghost Hunting Tour Various October Dates: Get into the spirit of the Halloween season! Hop aboard the Albany Trolleys for this spooky one-hour tour to experience haunting, ghosts and stories of those who have passed on. Hear tales of murder, hangings and even a mutiny in the Capital City. Discover who’s: in the (“The Dungeon”) of the New York State Education Building and who’s lurking on the fourth floor of the State Capitol. You might even catch a glimpse “The Union,” an old-fashioned train making its way through the city as several men stand in a silent vigil over the ornate coffin of Abraham Lincoln. www.albanyaquaducks.com

Halloween Howl Prowl at the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center October 22 & 23: Join us for a howling good time at the Discovery Center! Our annual Howl Prowl will begin inside the Center with hands-on exploration of Halloween topics including skulls, bats, spiders, night time sounds and more.
